The gameplay is pretty much the same as what we had in the first game, to be honest with you. You move around trying to eat the fish and while the concept is one that is very easy to figure out and pretty basic. It is something that will keep you playing for far longer than you will ever intend. While there is a fun single-player experience for you here. There are also some fun multiplayer modes. You can try and work together to beat the story which is cool, but you also have some mini-games to enjoy.
This is something my family has a lot of fun with! I do feel they could have had a couple more fun multiplayer modes as the other one is not as good as the tail-biting one.
Feeding Frenzy 2 may not change a great deal of stuff over the first game. However, this is still offering you a very fun and addictive time. I would wager many people overlook this game and the one that came before it.
It has a lot of charm to it and it is the perfect game to play if you are looking for something that is quick and easy to get into. That game as a decent hit for them so they released this without changing a great deal. In looking at a game like this, you really do have to just take it for what it is. Is this one of the most amazing games ever made?
No, but it was never designed with that in mind, instead what we have here is a decent and fun little game that is a great time waster. The premise of Feeding Frenzy 2 is kind of cool. The ocean is a pretty happy place until one day an alien fish called The Intruder comes along and starts messing everything up. There are a few fish who are not going to stand for this and make sure that the ocean gets back to normal. While at first glance the visuals on offer here may seem very basic, I do like the way that this game looks.
It has a colorful and clean almost cell-shaded look to everything each of the fish that you get to play has their own look and animations. The levels are also quite varied from the deep ocean, reefs, and shipwrecks. It is the kind of game that you may overlook at first, but the more you play it the more you appreciate the effort that went into creating this world.
There are a ton of levels in this game and you will change what fish you play as fairly regularly as you play. There are six fish that you play as and each one has their own style and way of playing. You can also get power-ups as you play which can help you out immensely. The gameplay in Feeding Frenzy 2 has not really changed at all from the first game. Each fish needs to eat smaller fish so that they can become the top of the food chain. You move left and right, eating the fish you can and avoiding the stuff that can damage you.
It is a very basic concept, but one that is fun and easy to figure out. There is more to the game than just the main game mode. You can actually play this in local co-op with some friends. You are trying to beat the game together, but you are also trying to be the one who has the highest score. I have played this with my son and wife and we always have a fun time. The other is a weird one where you need to eat these golden fish while avoiding the bad stuff.
