That aside, I may be an idiot but at least I have mastered punctuation and capitalization. Thanks for teh commentz haha get a clue. Itunes says that my purchased music is not playable on this machine because the computer is not authorized. But, it is…and when I try to authorize it again, I get another error. Downloads appear to be processing and then they simply vanish from the computer at the end of the down load.

I feel comfortable that reloading Itunes will solve this probem, except for that little downloading glitch. My itunes wont transfer music to my ipod. It just freezes and says it cant communicate with the device.

Perhaps you are storing your downloads in a strange directory? My itunes worked yestderday. I got an iPod Shuffle and I got windows Vista. Unknown error. What should I do? If you can use a XP based OS use that for your machine until vista is officially supported. Now I have an XP machine along with a vista machine. DRM — well…. Just an OS that works how you want it to in the first place.

I installed Itune 7. Unistalled Itunes 7. Apple, please get with it…. Just installed itunes 7. I had no problems before with itunes 7 on vista, i upgraded because apple claimed better vista compatibility…. I have the problem with iTunes 7.

It seems that I am not the only one experiencing problems with I-tunes and Windows Vista. I have tried to install I-tunes more than 3 times and my computer keeps stating that I-tunes has stopped working. It is really frustrating and I hope the problem gets fixed as soon as possible so that I may listen to my music. Maybe more time should have been taken, when Windows Vista was being created. These compatibility issues make a person want to go back to Windows XP operating system.

I was having numerous problems with itunes working on my new PC running Vista. We could not download purchased songs and it would freeze up, etc.

We were using McAfee virus protection that came with the machine. Immediately itunes began working correctly and have had no more problems. If your running McAfee this could be your problem too!! I was getting blue screens. Apparently there is a patch on the Microsoft web site that might help I just wish they had put it under Windows Update! Its KB I also have the same problem! Where is the answer for this bug! I removed Quicktime and then ran iTunes setup again choosing Repair which put Quicktime back in.

It had crashed twice previously trying to sync the same files. I use mac Itunes works grand with winders vista on my ole computer, but I cant put any songs on my ipod and I hate that.

What you need to do is go to apple. OK, i had to get a new laptop with windows Vista. Everything was working fine untill I-tunes. First I had trouble getting music from my i-pod and it was also saved on a harddrive which crashed everytime I tried to put music on.

But I got that fixed and am able to download new music and everything. The only trouble I have is when I plug in my I-pod. My whole computer crashes everytime!

Its so annoying. So now I have an empty I-pod, but full Library on I-tunes. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it An I-tunes problem? Hi all, I ran successfully Itunes for a while over Ultimate Edition. Then ITunes start crashing at each startup.

It seems to be a major bug in Apple installation program and in ITunes application. If a component is missing, say about it to the user! That is an incorrect unhandled exception as correctly reported by Vista OS. Nothing works. I have a new HP Pavilion with Vista prem pre-loaded and since using it every time I connect my ipod itunes freezes for minutes and then everything works fine.

Then I cannot disconnect the ipod in itunes…says files on the ipod are being used by another program what I dont know.

Yet I can use Vista to safely remove the ipod. My old machine with XP had no such issues as these. Does anyone else have any of these problems? I had the same problem with Vista Home Premium but it now seems to be working fine. There are 2 things you need to do. I am not able to burn a cd from itunes. When I try it says that there is no supported cd burner. Any thoughts on how to fix that? Apple have released iTunes 7. We are having the same trouble.

Can somebody give us a solution? Our CD driver disappears everytime we try to burn a CD. Uninstalling Itunes and rebooting gives us our driver back but then…no ITunes. We reinstall ItTunes and it burns one CD but once we shut donw the computer, the driver disappears again until we uninstall ITunes. I went to the control panel, uninstalled quicktime, repaied itunes, then I went and installed just quicktime, and then went and clicked on itunes, which went thru the reinstall steps and then it worked.

Apple will fix all these bugs eventually. On my new laptop powered by Windows Vista Home Premium iTunes works for a few minutes but if I become innactive for a few minutes it will quit. It will keep quitting until I restart. Hopefully Apple will hear the cries of Mac guyslike me. I successfully installed itunes 7. I have windows XP and meet all the requirements to download itunes. Please somebody help me with this mess. I installed 7. Worked perfectly well until this morning when it decided not to work.

I purchased a new desktop with Vista, and had a freeze while trying to install itunes for the first time. I was using version 7. It turned out that Quicktime had not installed properly following the initial freeze, and was not being reinstalled, because the itunes installer thought it was still there. I ran the Apple update program, and it suggested I install Quicktime. I did so, and it seems to be working ok now. It loads and then instantly locks up. I went to the itunes download page and downloaded the latest version thinking that might fix it and I was wrong.

Ok, I installed the latest itunes 7. I get some error 46 message for quicktime.. I installed quicktime for vista 7. I set permissions for me the admin, on my own and only user account for quicktime folder as full control, and I get the same stupid error 46 message.

Using the same version of iTunes on my old XP computer — it works fine. Is there a reliable fix yet? After installing Vista Ultimate and iTunes 7. I just bought a new vista lap top with vista premium and I am considering buying an apple ipod — I checked there help pages and it said as long as you have the new version of i tunes which is 7.

Not too sure…. It seems to be usually while running Live Messeneger at the same time that iTunes is known to start crashing. I was given an iPOD 30g for a present. Nice Huh? I thought so, anyhow, I have a new laptop with Vista Home Basic. I am hearing a reading nightmares about iTunes and Vista. I really am stoked about using my new iPOD but I am really leary about the problems that I am hearing of.

I admit I am new at the whole iPOD thing but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions that would actually help me. Ensure your iTunes is loaded and turn on your iPod before connecting the USB cable, you should be problem free.

I last upgraded itunes and spent 3 days trying to get it to work with both my first gen ipod and a brand new video one — apparently the guys at Apple never thought anyone would try that, and for a while the helpline told me I had to buy just bin one of them! Now I never install an update without finding out how messed up it is. And Apple are still terrible. Only Dell could compete for worse customer service. I did get a response from someone on a MS forum and he said he has been using the same iPOD I have and Vista with no problems for quite some time now.

I have a ipod60G about two years old. Thing is after purchasing a new laptop with windows vista basic preloaded itunes refuses to work. Requires 2-core processor. Background video effects require Windows 10 or a processor with AVX2 instruction set.

One of the three most recent versions of macOS. You can find information about the latest macOS versions, and how to upgrade your version of macOS, here. The computer was bought Nov '08 and the ipod may '09 so everything should be good -but somethng is not working.

I have cleaned up the computer with ccleaner and hijack this, cookies, temp files etc and the computer seems to run good until you get into the itunes area. Join our community to see this answer! Unlock 1 Answer and 3 Comments. Andrew Hancock - VMware vExpert.
